Yerba Mate

What flavor of yerba mate should I get?

I’ve had mate a few times with a few different friends – and a few different kinds.
I decided to buy my own mate because I absolutely loved it, but the flavor that I bought tastes like grass…
I bought Kraus Yerba Mate. I like something that doesn’t taste like grass, and I don’t mind the bitter taste.
The first time I tried mate I had 12 cups… but I can’t find the flavor that I had then!

Is there an Argentinian website that I could go to to get mate?  –  Thank you  Jessie.

Kraus  is not a bad tasting yerba mate, their yerba mate is organically grown.     You may have tasted something like Rosamonte Especial.  It has a woodsy kind of flavor that is unique to their drying process.    They are known for using hard woods to dry their yerba mate.

You can find several traditional brands of Argentina’s yerba mates at My Yerba Mate Store.

We usually recommend Canarias yerba mate Brand for the true yerba mate flavor.    We are also fans of and recommend the Rosamonte Brands and Nobleza Gaucha, Taragui, and Cruz de Malta for their unique and traditional blends.

They also carry flavored brands that are becoming very popular with young people that are not afraid to try new things like CBSe Energia yerba mate with Guarana or CBSe Silueta which has kelp, fennel and Rose Hips.

You will have to try the different Brands to find the flavor you like.   Everyone has their favorite.  We have tried many brands and flavors.     We drink Canarias Yerba Mate and Rosamonte Especial regularly but on occasion you will catch us drinking Nobleza Gaucha or a flavored Taragui Brand or even CBSe Energia.

My yerba mate Store ships world wide give them a try.   Here is their link
